“Wanted: Faithful Followers” will be the worship
focus, based on Hosea 11, which reveals God’s compassion despite
Israel’s ingratitude. The Deacons’
Brunch will follow worship on July 20. They will serve a free continental
breakfast. Enjoy good food and good
fellowship with the church family! |

July 27, 2008 |
“The Impatient
Prophet” will be
the worship theme, based on the
prophet Habakkuk’s complaint about how long God took to respond. Members of Len and Ellie Tompkins’
family will provide special music. Following worship on July 27 there will be a reception for Len and Ellie Tompkins’ 50th wedding
anniversary (which is that very day!) in
the church dining room.

Aug. 3, 2008 |
Our congregation will join with five other area Presbyterian
churches in a combined worship service
at 10:00 a.m. at Hickory Hills Park (Lakeview Lodge), south of
Waterloo on Highway 21. A potluck
picnic will follow the worship service, with meat and beverages
provided. Bring a potluck dish to
share, your own table service and lawn chairs. An approximate count of those attending is
requested by July 27. Please call the
church office at 277.3930 to sign up. |
